Full Time - Columbus / Starkville, MS

This position will have the opportunity for out of town work at various locations in the Southeast. Assignment to out of town crews is voluntary and not required for employment or advancement.

Ideal Candidate: Requires at least two years experience of the following responsibilities!

• Install storm drainage, sanitary sewer mains and water mains.

• Load / unload trucks and haul / hoist materials.

• Assist in identifying and ensuring that any underground and overhead utilities have been located / exposed prior to excavating.

• Review trenching requirements with Superintendent and ensure any required protection is available.

• Work in inclement weather; Lift, push, pull in excess of 50 lbs.; Exposure to loud noise, dust and toxic materials; Work in confined spaces

• Use an eclectic assortment of tools, including transit levels, grade rods and levels

• Connect multiple pipes together by sealing joints, which will entail using glue, cement or welding devices

• Operate pickup trucks and rollers frequently whenever materials need to be transported away from the worksite

• Lay out pipe routes using blueprints, and coordinating with Foreman

• Understand + and – flow on the pipe they are running
