Burns believes strong teams are built by great people who know other great people. The Employee Referral Program rewards employees who refer candidates that are successfully hired and remain with the company. If you’ve been here 6 months and your referral stays 6 months, you get paid.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a referral bonus:

• Drivers in good standing can refer at any time.

• All other employees must have at least six (6) months of continuous employment with Burns at the time the referral is submitted.

• Self-referrals are not eligible.

• The candidate must be a new hire with no prior employment history with Burns.

• The candidate must apply at BURNSJOBS.COM, and your referral must be submitted before their first interview.

• One referral bonus is paid per referred employee. If more than one employee refers the same person, the first referral submitted gets credit.

• Both you and your referral must be actively employed and in good standing when each bonus payment is made.

• If a referred driver leaves before 90 days, or any other referral leaves before 6 months, no bonus is paid.

• Referral bonuses are paid through payroll and are subject to standard tax withholdings.

• Burns reserves the right to verify referral eligibility and documentation.

• No exceptions will be made.

• The referral must be submitted before the candidate’s first interview.

• Referrals must be submitted using the official referral process designated by the Talent and Culture division.

How Payouts Work

CDL Drivers: $2,000, paid in three installments

• $500 when referred driver reaches 90 days

• $500 at 180 days

• $1,000 at 12 months

All Other Roles: paid in full after your referral completes 6 months

• Field and hourly: $1,000

• Administrative: $2,000

• Management and leadership: $5,000

Role classification and payout tier are determined by management. Amounts are subject to change based on demand.
