Burns believes strong teams are built by great people who know other great people. The Employee Referral Program rewards employees who refer candidates that are successfully hired and remain with the company. If you’ve been here 6 months and your referral stays 6 months, you get paid.
Eligibility
To be eligible for a referral bonus:
The referring employee must have at least six (6) months of continuous employment with Burns at the time the referral is submitted.
One referral bonus may be paid per referred employee.
No bonus will be paid if the referred employee resigns or is terminated before completing six (6) months of employment.
Referral bonuses are paid through payroll and are subject to standard tax withholdings.
Referrals must be made by current employees; self-referrals are not eligible.
Burns reserves the right to verify referral eligibility and documentation.
No exceptions will be made.

The referral must be submitted before the candidate’s first interview.
Referrals must be submitted using the official referral process designated by the Talent and Culture division.

Payout Rule
Referral bonuses are paid one time.
The bonus is issued after the referred employee completes six (6) months of continuous employment.
Payout Amounts
Referral bonus amounts are based on the role the referred employee is hired into:
$1,000 — Field / hourly roles
$2,000 — CDL driver and administrative roles
$5,000 — Manager and leadership roles
Role classification and payout tier are determined by management. Amounts are subject to change based on demand.
